Your temporary stay in San Miguel matters more than most people realize.

A poorly chosen rental — the wrong neighborhood, too much noise, too many hills, too isolated — can make a beautiful city feel uncomfortable. And that first impression can shape every decision that follows. Or it can just ruin your vacation.

This service is designed to make your trip thoughtful and clear instead of random and reactive. Or, if you're just visiting, I'll make sure your rental accomodations are what you expect.
Step 1: NEIGHBORHOOD FIT FOR YOUR VISIT
Whether or not you’ve done the "Is SMA Right For Me?" Clarity Session, we begin by clarifying your goals for this trip. Are you:
- Testing relocation?
- Experiencing daily life, not vacation mode?
- Exploring part-time living?
- Just curious and open?

We’ll define neighborhoods that support what you’re trying to learn and experience. Walkability, terrain, safety, comfort, social energy, access to markets, cafés, music venues, art classes, medical care, and proximity to Centro vs. residential areas...it's all important.
I’ve lived in the most desirable communities and can guide you toward areas that match your lifestyle — not just what looks charming online.

Step 2: I CURATE. YOU CHOOSE.
Based on your preferences I do the research with a trained eye. No spending hours trying to guess. No making the common mistake of falling for pretty pictures of places in neighborhoods that won't meet your needs.
I recommend up to 5 properties* that feel promising.

STEP 3: WE VERIFY ON THE GROUND.

- Contact the host/property manager
- Visit properties in person with you on video
- Assess layout, light, storage, functionality
- Walk the area to evaluate noise, terrain, accessibility
- Give honest feedback — not sales talk

If something feels off, I’ll say so. If solid and well-located for you, I’ll explain why.
The goal isn’t just the prettiest rental — it’s the one supporting the experience you want.

* This service includes evaluation and in-person scouting (when accessible) for up to three properties that you choose. If none feel right, you may submit one additional option for a supplemental fee. If your first choice checks all boxes, the service is complete. No partial refunds for unused evaluations. Because efficiency is a win!
This service typically unfolds in 6 - 8 weeks.
